Jewellery Care

How to clean and care for brass jewelry

Most of our handmade pieces use nickel-free brass as a base metal. It is important to know that brass tarnishes naturally overtime when exposed to moisture and air because of its alloy components (zinc and copper). Nonetheless, all pieces could be easily cleaned and polished using commercial polishing cloths (we send you one with every piece); or for a shinier luster, we highly recommend using Brasso on unsealed lacquered areas.

For better care, try to avoid your jewellery coming into contact with perfumes, skin products and hair products. Remove when exercising, swimming, showering, or sleeping. Store your jewellery in a dry, airtight place.

Remember that all of our patina pieces are sealed for best protection and will not tarnish, but polishing products may be safely used for all the remaining unsealed surfaces.

Sincerely,

Brass
